MEET THE TEAM

DR. ALLISON BEALE, PT, DPT

Founder, Physical Therapist

I started Formation Physical Therapy + Performance, because, like you, I was fed up with the healthcare system. I wanted to create a space where you matter the most, not where you’re one of many, unsure of what to do next. You deserve the best in physical therapy, and to have your PT give a damn about you.

Before earning my doctorate in physical therapy, I worked as a school psychologist for almost a decade. I use a lot of the expertise I gained in psychology to improve the care for my clients. I’m best at working with motivated, athletic adults who aren’t just looking for a quick fix. I’ll take the time to get to know you, and truly understand your why and root cause of your problem, to create the optimal plan for you.

I understand your sport, likely because I’ve played it. And if you come to me with a sport I haven’t tried yet, you can bet that I’ll give it a go to see what demands it puts on your body (thanks to my pole dancing clients for the new experience!). Here’s some of my experience:

  • PLU’s Division III softball team

  • PLU’s dance team

  • Ultimate frisbee

  • Track & Field

  • Flag football

  • CrossFit L2 coach

  • Pull For Pride Deadlift competition

Outside of the gym, you’ll most likely see me working out with my awesome wife, heading to the beach, or cheering on the Hokies and Seattle Storm!
